MY ROLE
For my Journalism: News Writing class, we were tasked with writing a news article about an event on campus. We were required to interview at least three sources and use AP style.
NEWS STORY-THE PROCESS
1. Develop ideas and perform research on current campus events.
2. Interview at least 3 leads and include quotations throughout article.
3. Compose article following AP style and perform peer editing.
RESULTS
I wrote an article titled "AI Paving the Way Forward." This article details the launch of a Language Prediction Contest by AI@SLU, a new organization on campus dedicated to advancing knowledge and efforts of artificial intelligence at SLU. Participants of the contest were challenged to make predictions of the characters that form one sentence which has been translated into five different languages using AI or other methods. My article was also published in the University News.

OTHER WORK
I write biweekly news articles for The University News, Saint Louis University’s student-run newspaper. Developing story ideas and reporting on campus events under strict deadlines demonstrates my skills in interviewing and journalistic writing. Click here to see the articles I have written.
